Dear parents and guardians,

 

This has been a great year!  Our last day is Wednesday, June 2nd.  We have our Breakfast of Champions at 9am in the Social Hall and our Recognition Assembly at 10am in the auditorium.  6th graders attending these events are excused after the breakfast or after the assembly. Please, let us know when you pick them up. Enjoy a great summer break with your family!

Just one more thingÉÉ..Our faculty is interested in adding the RCL Benziger Family Life Series to our religion program for grades 1-6. We will only pursue this program with our parents support. Check it out on the web at RCLBFamilyLife.com.

paintbrushCongratulations to our 2 ÒAwesome Artists of the Year!Ó Claire Ceccoli Ð 1st Grade and Kaeleigh Stang Ð 5th Grade. These artists were picked by the panel of judges to be framed and hung outside of the NCS library. You are welcome to come and view these paintings outside the library anytime next week.

 

 

macawVacation Bible School Registration Deadline: The registration deadline for Vacation Bible School is this coming Tuesday, June 1st. NO LATE REGISTRATIONS WILL BE ACCEPTED!   VBS is 9am Ðnoon, Monday Ð Friday, June 14-18. For more information call Katie Barney at 567-424-6053. BAKING HELP NEEDED: We need people willing to bake white cupcakes and bring them (unfrosted) to the ECC (St. Mary, campus).  Drop off on June 16th or 17th between 9am and noon.  If you are able to provide a dozen or two, please call Shana Ceccoli @ 419-668-7133 or Monica Powers @ 419-668-3630.  Thank you!

 

 

NCS PTO had their last PTO meeting of this school year on Wednesday, May 26, 2010.  During the meeting new PTO Bylaws were adopted, the budget for the 2010-2011 school year was approved, activities/coordinators were discussed and new officers were elected.  The officers for next year will be:  Gina Herner-President, Denise Stine Ð Vice President, Julie Grine Ð Treasurer, Laura Phillips Ð Secretary.   Also serving on the PTO Leadership Team will be: Lisa Bleile Ð Past President, Kathy Olak Ð Publicity, Members-at-large Ð Lisa Hedrick and Keri Jubak.  Thank you to these individuals for making the commitment to serve as leaders of PTO.  Also, thank you to all of the parents that attended meetings, volunteered at various events and donated snacks, drinks and supplies.  Our school is blessed to have such a successful PTO!  Have a fun and safe summer and we look forward to you being an active member of PTO in the fall.

Click to viewMay is Animal Welfare Month and Girl Scout Troop 190 is collecting items for the Huron County Humane Society during this month. Collection containers will be located in the NCS Elementary Building until June 2nd.  Items needed : Reams of copy paper, collars, leads, kitten food, canned cat food, cat litter, Fabuloso Cleaner (can be found at Wal-Mart, Dollar General, and DrugMart), soft dog treats, raw hides, heavy duty trash bags, fleece blankets new or gently used, and dog or cat toys. All donations are greatly appreciated by our furry friends.

 

 

Large View4th of July Parade: NCS and SPH will be participating in NorwalkÕs 4th of July parade which is to be held on Monday, July 5th. We want to showcase our students, football team and of course that state trophy. We invite all students to participate. More info to come, but please mark your calendars to join us. If  you would like to help put the float together, please contact Cassie Shella @ 419/668-7223 or Kathy Olak @ 419/499-3066. LetÕs show Norwalk that Flyer Pride!!!

 

 

Uniform Short Sleeve Feminine Fit Mesh Polo ShirtUniform Sale: Parents looking for gently used uniform items to purchase can stop by the elementary any day during school hours and look through our large inventory. All items are clean and reasonably priced. If you have items that you would like to sell simply drop them off in the office tagged with your name and price and we will add them to the uniform sale. As items are sold, parents will receive their payment sent home with their child. Call Mrs. Livengood for additional details.

 

 

Pictures wanted!!! Please e-mail Mrs. Livengood pictures of your school events to nlivengood@ncsmail.org. We can also use pictures that are on a disk. We cannot use photographs because the book done online. WeÕd love pictures of classroom activities, sports, concerts, field trips, etc. Thank you for your help!!!

Summer 2010 SHOP Schedule: Please have your order and money turned in by 9AM to the St. Mary or St. Paul Parish Offices. (We do not pick orders up from the schools in the summer.) Your filled orders can only be picked up at your parish offices during the summer months. St. Paul Parish hours are 8-4PM and St. MaryÕs Rectory hours are 8:30-11:30AM.

Monday August 16th  Normal weekly SHOP ordering begins the week of August 30th.

Quiznos is now available in a $10 denomination with a 10% profit. Bed and Breakfast.com is offering a 5% bonus through June 25th.  CabelaÕs is offering a 2% bonus through July 2nd. The next SHOP order will be June 14th. Certain cards are reloadable by you anytime during a business week. The summer order form can be found at the NCS website SHOP link.
